Selinsgrove, Pa. — Police say a man shoved a female victim while performing dental work on a patient at Selinsgrove Center in Penn Township. Matthew Helmy, 67, of Selingrove, received summary charges on Dec. 19 after he allegedly shoved a 56-year-old female who was with him when he providing care to a patient, according to PSP Selinsgrove. Selinsgrove Center is a state-run residential intermediate treatment facilities for people with intellectual disabilities. Police were called to the center along Route 522 later that day to investigate and spoke to several witnesses. The summary charges were filed at the office of District Judge Scott Zeigler. Correction: The alleged victim in this case was reported to be a woman who was with Helmy when he was providing the dental care, and not the patient. Article was corrected on Dec. 29. Docket Sheet
